Financial advice and financial services for those moving to France

Brought up overseas since he was born, the founder of Pelican Consulting, Michael Annett, is, as a result, a true French-English bilingual.

Whilst he became a chartered certified accountant in 1982, Michael Annett did not hesitate to also create and run several familiy businesses, all of which enabled him to develop his ideals of professional perfection and service.

Despite the success of his various business activities, Michael Annett's main interest always was taxation and, as a result of combining his personal and business experiences, he created his first practice of Taxation Consultants in 1985.

Still as a compliment to his personal, professional and family activities, and conscious of the lack of the consultants in the Financial Services profession who had any form of professional background, in 1990 he opened a second practice, this time of 'Consultants in Financial Engeneering'.  Through this practice he successfully merged the activities of the independant financial adviser to those of the accountant and the taxation specialist, all to provide truly professional and specialist advice.

Notwithstanding his professional qualifications already acquired, and conscious of regulatory developments and their associated consequences, he has never ceased to acquire new qualifications in the domaine of financial services in the UK, and join a number of financially-orientated professional associations, including the profession's two principal associations.

In 1994, he merged his two practices and, in 1996, further capitalised on the opening of the Channel Tunnel to begin advising foreigners, mainly the French.   Mainly due to his French roots, he decided to return to France in 2001 and, today, through Pelcian Consulting, continues to advice through his practice, bringing his know-how, his professionalism, and his experiences to a clientelle of all nationalities having an interest with France.
